How to prepare: Branding Session

What is a Branding Session?

A branding photoshoot is a photo session that is designed to capture images that represent a brand's identity, message, and values. The photoshoot typically involves a collaboration between a photographer and a brand, with the goal of producing high-quality images that can be used in various marketing and branding materials.

During the branding photoshoot, I will work closely with the brand to understand their vision and capture images that convey their message. This may involve photographing products, people, or environments that are associated with the brand. The photos may be taken in a studio setting or on location, depending on the needs of the brand.

The images captured during the branding photoshoot can be used in a variety of ways, such as on a company website, social media, marketing materials, or advertising campaigns. By using these images, the brand can create a visual representation of their identity and engage with their target audience in a meaningful way.

Planning a Branding shoot can be sooooo overwhelming and I understand that, but I have one simple approach... be you!

You are the first thing clients see and your personality shines through your services!

Think branding photos as a day in the life of event. Casually keep note of 10 things you do on a daily basis in your role and we will use this as the base of your shoot. In my role as a Photographer, some of the things that may be captured are me answering emails, charging batteries, packing equipment and capturing photos.

Photos are worth 1,000 words, let's show clients what you do and what they can expect before even meeting you!

Things to consider

1. Know what the photos will be used for

Will photos be used for Linkedin, social media, digital marketing, print marketing, website?

2. Location

When selecting a location, keep in mind what it is you do. Choosing a location that aligns with your brand's aesthetic is key.

3. Services offered

Think of the services you offer and products you use in a typical day and bring those props along with you!

4. Have a mood board/shot list

What's the general mood for the shoot; fun, professional?

5. Plan your outfits

Do you have brand colors? What do you generally wear on a typical day? What about hair and make up?

Pro-tip : Create a mood board
